The Storytelling Company creates experiences and cultural products at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and spatial design. Within our Originals department, we develop self-initiated concepts: original experiences and location-based projects / products designed to scale, travel, and operate across markets and regions worldwide.
These Originals, designed by flora&fauna visions, are conceived as scalable formats, market-ready innovative experiences and Intellectual Property. The team curates and creates products with long-term international potential before they move into realisation within The Storytelling Company.
Examples of our Originals include projects such as Utopian Garden, Genius da Vinci, Timelight, and Vikings Immersive; original experiences and location-based formats conceived to scale internationally as touring, licensed, or permanently installed products. These illustrate the type of globally adaptable Intellectual Property developed within the Originals department.
The Role
We are looking for an Art Director / Conceptor – Digital Media to play a core creative role within the Originals team.
This role focuses on shaping and evolving original experiences and location-based project products at a conceptual stage. Key is transforming early ideas into clear, compelling, and visually resonant propositions.
You will design and develop decks, visual systems, and digital concept narratives that articulate not only what a product is, but where and how it could live internationally. Your work makes ideas tangible, communicable, sellable and adaptable across markets.
You are expected to think beyond aesthetics: understanding audience context, cultural nuance, and the international environments in which these products may eventually exist.
What You’ll Do
Concept & Creative Development
- Develop visual concepts, narratives, and creative frameworks for original experiences and location-based projects
- Translate abstract ideas into strong digital and motion-driven propositions
- Contribute to early ideation, world-building, and format evolution
- Design and produce licensing and sales decks that clearly communicate concept, tone, structure, scalability, and commercial potential
- Develop trailers, visual teasers, and key promotional assets used to position and sell original products across online and offline channels
- Shape the visual language of emerging Intellectual Property
- Evolve creative ideas over time as research, product thinking, and commercial insight develop
- Create compelling visual materials that support distribution, licensing conversations, and international market positioning
- Work across 3D, 2D motion, and screen-based media to express scalable concepts
- Consider how visual identity and storytelling adapt across different markets and contexts
- Design with an understanding of where and how the product will eventually live
- Use digital tools to explore and prototype ideas (e.g. Cinema 4D, Blender, After Effects, Unreal Engine, AI-based tools)
- Maintain awareness of feasibility and scalability while focusing on conceptual clarity
- Work closely with Product, Creative Research, and New Business colleagues within Originals
- Contribute to materials used for internal alignment, partnership conversations, and investment discussions
- Act as a creative enabler, helping original concepts mature into clearly articulated products
- Support New Business and Product teams with visual assets required for licensing, fundraising, and partnership negotiations
