Experiential Product Manager – Location-Based Entertainment

Berlin Office, Halfweg Office, Munich Office

Your mission

About The Storytelling Company
The Storytelling Company creates experiences and products at the intersection of culture, technology, and storytelling. Alongside commissioned work, our Originals department develops self-initiated concepts and products - live, spatial entertainment formats and other scalable Intellectual Property designed to be replicated, adapted, and scaled across locations, markets, and cultural contexts worldwide.

These Originals, designed by flora&fauna visions, are conceived as product formats, not one-off productions: original concepts with clear structure, logic, and potential for long-term life in international and variable markets.

Examples of our Originals include projects such as Utopian Garden, Genius da Vinci, Timelight, and Vikings Immersive; original experiences and location-based formats conceived to scale internationally as touring, licensed, or permanently installed products. These illustrate the type of globally adaptable Intellectual Property developed within the Originals department.

The Role
We are looking for an Experiential Product Manager with a strong focus on strategic Orignals format product development, project management and deal ownership.
In this role, “product” means an original concept and affiliated Intellectual Property: a defined live or location-based format with a clear audience proposition, experiential logic, and structure that allows it to scale internationally.
Your responsibility is to shape early-stage creative ideas into clearly defined, testable, and transferable product formats - ensuring they are ready to move forward into market validation, investment conversations, and eventual realisation.
Beyond development, you act as the communication and delivery bridge between Originals (designed by flora&fauna visions) and the workflow within The Storytelling Company once projects are approved and financed. You are the deal owner from concept definition into build - responsible for structured planning, cross-team coordination and quality of delivery.

This role is strategic, concept-led, and ownership-driven, with a strong emphasis on structure, international viability, and long-term quality.
You act as the Product Operations Lead for Originals - turning early concepts into scalable, structured offerings. You think in systems, replication, and operational clarity, ensuring that each Original can be packaged, adapted, and deployed across markets with consistency and quality.

This role combines product strategy with hands-on project leadership in the development and delivery of physical experience formats.

What You’ll Do
Product Definition for Original Concepts
  • Define the core format of Original concepts and affiliated Intellectual Property
  • Translate early ideas into structured, repeatable product frameworks
  • Clarify audience journey, functional scope, and structural logic
  • Structure concepts into modular, repeatable product offerings that can be deployed consistently across locations and partners
Development Strategy & Validation
  • Define development phases and milestones
  • Establish what needs to be explored, tested, or validated at each stage
  • Support informed decision-making around readiness and next steps
International Market Viability
  • Develop concepts with a clear understanding of international markets
  • Consider cultural adaptation, operational differences, and venue typologies across territories
  • Ensure formats are structured with global scalability in mind
Cross-Communication & Ownership
  • Act as the central communication bridge between Originals and The Storytelling Company once projects move into build
  • Translate product intent into clear execution logic for internal teams
  • Establish clear communication rhythms, accountability structures, and decision-making processes
  • Maintain continuity between concept, approval, financing, and delivery
  • Coordinate and align technology, design, production, and delivery teams to ensure operational readiness
  • Own alignment between creative ambition, structural feasibility, and operational reality
  • Apply structured project management practices to ensure timelines, responsibilities, and milestones remain aligned as concepts move from development into delivery.
Quality & Delivery Oversight
  • Take responsibility for the integrity of the original product vision through to execution
  • Safeguard format clarity and structural intent during handover and build
Ensure delivery reflects the defined product logic and international standards

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with strong product-thinking experience applied to live, spatial, and location-based formats, and the ability to carry ideas through into execution.

You bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, experience strategy, or development roles
  • Demonstrable experience working with live entertainment, exhibitions, location-based experiences, or scalable Intellectual Property
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and operating as a product operations owner
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to productise complex creative concepts
  • A strong ability to structure complex creative ideas into clear, transferable product formats
  • Experience defining development phases, validation criteria, and readiness for international scale
  • Proven experience managing complex experiential or location-based projects across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • A strong understanding of international entertainment markets and global rollout logic
  • Comfort working independently and taking ownership
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
Experience with touring formats, franchised entertainment concepts, or multi-site rollouts is a strong plus.
